to work doing something you really love to do? Now I am doing it. It started reading
for the blind and having people comment, " I love listening to you read!" I found
this was something I really have a passion for, so I set out to explore the voice
over industry. The first thing...training. Training I was fortunate
after lots of web research to choose Edge Studio in New York for my training in
voice over. Edge Studio is a well-known production, casting and training studio
with offices in New York, Connecticut, and Washington, D.C. The coaches I have
been privileged to work with are true professionals with a tremendous amount of
knowledge to share. Working with them has been a great experience and I continue
coaching with them today. Edge Studio produced my demo. Studio Access Background HMS
Voice Talent is a division of Holland Management Services, Inc., which was founded
in 1996 by Liza Holland. Liza brings 18 years of an incredibly diverse background
to bear on projects and events for her clients. Early on, her skills were built
working for the international private club company Club Corporation of America,
where she learned excellence in event management, customer service, management
and public relations. In 1993, Liza co-founded Client Information Access,
a business development and consulting company which soon diversified to include
a publishing venture, The Kentucky Medical News. During these years Liza delved
into publishing, editing, reporting, strategic planning, marketing development
and more. In 1996, Liza created Holland Management Services, allowing Liza
to get into association management in a world she had loved since childhood—the
horse industry. As Executive Director of the American Youth Horse Council and
the KY Horse Council, she was able to develop a broad network in the horse industry. This
broad background in marketing, business and management will bring an understanding
to voice over you will appreciate.
